Rebecca Jean-Gilles was born and raised in Miami to Haitian immigrant parents. They instilled in her faith in God, the importance of family, and the value of hard work. Her parents did everything they could to provide a better life than they had growing up. One of Rebecca’s proudest moments is when she ventured away from her hometown into a new city — away from everyone she knew — and started her career in law enforcement. 

In Lakeland for almost 10 years, Rebecca has enjoyed the slower pace of Central Florida, and she achieved another dream of becoming a homeowner. Her professional experiences also include retail customer service and banking. Rebecca shares her happy home with her husband, Reginald, and their dog, Tido.
